National Cupcake Day Written by Sarah V. Hayes
‘Tis the season for…...cupcakes and eggnog! That’s right. December 15th celebrates National Cupcake Day!
Whether you’re cleaning out the cupboards to discard unused appliances, or making room for next year's all-new appliances, those cupcake pans are the first to go in my house. However, when thinking about the unused product pans, it’s easy to forget how much the kids enjoy making and eating them. Especially this time of year, the kids will need something to do during the holiday vacation. We’re here to provide you with Cupcakes for Kids in the Kitchen!
But first, let's not forget about the original cupcake when it was first created. In 1796, the first documented cupcake recipe was noted. This dessert contains 4 ingredients, making it the 1, 2, 3, 4 Cupcake. 1 cup of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 3 cups of flour and 4 eggs (mixed with 1 cup of milk and 1 spoonful of baking soda) make this an easy recipe for the kids to make and remember. But before you get your hands dirty with this recipe, try our flavor of the month, Vanilla Eggnog fudge. A vanilla-based fudge dusted with nutmeg makes this a true holiday dessert. It’s not a holiday without eggnog. Plus you won’t get your hands dirty with this concoction. Just click to buy this flavor before the end-of-the-month, top it off with your special drink and you’ll be wanting to celebrate National Cupcake Day too with the kids!
Invite your friends, family and coworkers. Gather around the fireplace, and/or kitchen. Open a refreshing bottle of wine, indulge in Vanilla Eggnog fudge while the kids eat their cupcakes! What could be a better celebration than that?
