How Creative Can You Be?
This week happens to be National Keep Kids Creative Week. Despite most after-school activities being cancelled due to the world wide epidemic of Covid-19, such lack-of-events have forced kids to be creative with their time. We want to continue pushing kids to be creative. That’s why we will award this week’s prize to the kid who provides the most interesting flavor, provided with a drawing of course, of their fudge-flavor. The winner will receive a flavor of their choice and a donation amount given to a first-responder of their choice. First-responders are ones who have worked, and continue to work, tirelessly during these times of quarantine; keeping us safe and protecting us from danger, during moments when we are asleep, at work, at home, on the road, or elsewhere. Including those dealing with public scrutiny and/or saving the lives of the injured. Examples include nurses, paramedics, firemen, policemen, etc.
In addition to Keep Kids Creative Week, structure your kids playtime away from the screen. Think outside-the-box and enjoy activities outside before the snow arrives. Gather interesting and colorful leaves outside to place in a scrapbook. Consider creating a story using MAD Libs to help your child form a sentence and understand the difference between nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. Make scarecrows and decorate for Halloween (I know my kids love to help with this one every year:). What other ways can you be creative? Send us your response and you could be entered in the drawing too!
So tell your friends, kids and their friends, and we could be sharing a whole lot more than candy this Halloween. We could be sharing our artistic talents with the online population while boosting our kids creativity all while saying ‘thank-you’ to the ones who deserve it.
Stay tuned for next week’s flavor of the month for October. Any guesses?
