Chocolate Pecan Fudge with Home-Roasted Pecans

Chocolate Pecan is our classic southern fudge using pecans from sunny Georgia. We mix lots of pecans throughout the chocolate so there is plenty of crunch in every tub. FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $55. 

After they arrive here in Vermont our nuts are roasted at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. The kitchen smells wonderful and some of the pecans are then crushed into pieces to mix in the fudge. Then we freeze them to keep them "fresh". 

Pecans have been around for thousands of years. Native American Indians used them for long term food storage due to their exceptionally hard shell. Eurpean settlers also loved the pecan but it was an enslaved Louisanna farmer named Antoine who in 1846 produced a commercially valuable pecan cultivar now popular world wide.
