Butter Pecan Fudge with Home-Roasted Pecans
We jazzed up the plain vanilla fudge by adding butter pecan flavoring and crispy home-roasted pecan halves. The taste is very similar to the ice cream by the same name. So if you like butter-pecan ice cream you'll like this flavor as well. Remember we offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $55.
The typical butter pecan flavor comes from...butter and pecans. Fresh and raw pecans are toasted or grilled with melted butter and salt. Variations of the mixture include adding salt and brown sugar.
The butter pecan flavor originated in the south east of America in the 1800s. We get the pecans from Georgia, roast and pack them in freezer bags to lock in the flavor. The tubs of fudge are more easily cut once thefudge tubs are frozen. The fudge slides out after warm water is run over the bottom of the tub. The square can then be sliced to bite-sized pieces.
