Espresso Machine
Even though we celebrated National Cappuccino Day a few weeks ago, be sure to keep that espresso machine handy. The celebration of National Espresso Day on November 23rd is right around the corner.
Flashback to the 1800s, before the existence of the espresso machine, the term, espresso, was simply a definition for coffee being made quickly. The espresso coffee machine was invented in 1901 by Italian Luigi Bezzera.
Fast forward to the present, the term “espresso” now also refers to the fresh quality of the coffee which is also used as a base for other coffee-inspired drinks, like lattes, mochas and macchiatos. The espresso machine is used for making a delicious hot cup of coffee in coffee shops, grocery stores, and restaurants all over the world.
The term “espresso” should not be confused as a type of coffee bean, combination of beans, or a particular method of roasting beans, but instead the direction of how to make such a drink.’ “More specifically, it is a preparation method in which highly-pressurized hot water is forced over coffee grounds to produce a very concentrated coffee drink with a deep, robust flavor,” says the Smithsonian.com.
Due to its intense flavor, espresso can be used with other ingredients to make a delicious cheesecake, or other out-of-this-world desserts such as creme brulee. Phenomenal Fudge makes a very tasty Cappuccino fudge and we can ship it out to you in espresso (very quickly) style.
